Many people said publishing a book is like giving birth to a baby. If so, then the blog tour for my new novel is like giving birth the second time around. I know the process, I know 6 from 7 bloggers from my previous blog tour, but no one can predict the result.
Two years ago, during my first blog tour, facebook was the most popular social media, followed by twitter and blogs. At that time, we were creating the hype, the merrier the better. Banners, photoquotes and pictures were posted everywhere.
This time, instagram was where the prospective readers should be. I got tagged (or mentioned) from participants, but the pictures/ photoquotes were on their walls, not mine. Everything seemed quiet, although it was far from it.
So, it was really like giving birth. It was familiar, but yet different (different child, different time, different way). It was challenging and equally interesting. What was important was that the baby was delivered healthy and my book met the expectations of the would-be readers.
Last but not least, a big thank you to my editor, publisher, dedicated bloggers and all participants. I could not make it without you!

Usually a #blogtour is for people who have not yet read the book, but this time, we embraced people who already read the book. Together with the blogger (https://www.instagram.com/p/BU08k8uD6bY/), they reviewed #amongthepinkpoppies on instagram. Nevertheless, there was a chance for those who had not read the book to win a postcard.
